Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) is a blend of two techniques that are used to provide the potential for quantitative analysis and identify compounds that have low detection limits. Even the complex compounds can be treated and their identification and quantification can be properly performed. This implies that the samples that are analysed through this combination of techniques are volatile and semi-volatile.

Gas Chromatography (GC)
