Determination of Globule size in Cream

by | Feb 6, 2023 | 0 comments

The Challenge

The main challenge for the characterization of Globule size in ophthalmic emulsion (cream) is to evaluate the size in wet condition. As the Globules may be of oil or water which may not be in Globule state once it is dried. So the process of evaluation should be done in semisolid or liquid state. Few more challenge for the evaluation of globule size in cream are inadequate methods and environmental factors such as temperature and humidity which can impact the globule size of an ophthalmic emulsion  and affect the results of globule size data.

The solution

Nishka Research Private limited being a research and technical consulting firm with in-house testing facility, have developed innovative techniques for evaluating Globule size characterization studies. Nishka research applies Artificial Intelligence (AI) with high end instrumental techniques to get trust worthy and reliable data. Nishka Research provides various options to the clients which include Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron microscopy (TEM). All the methods adopted by Nishka are imaging techniques as they are direct methods for evaluating Globule size and all the techniques are enabled with Image analytics.

The client Benefits

Nishka Research not only provides Globule size Distribution Data but it also provides globule count, individual globule size, minimum size of the globules, maximum size of the globules, average size of the globules, standard deviation, Aspect ratio of the globules with D10, D50 and D90 value of globules. Apart from this data Nishka also provides in-depth information of agglomerates present in the formulation. All the data are accompanied with High Resolution images of the globules which will be helpful for the formulation scientist to design best formulation.
